World hunger

There are many people in the world who are dying of hunger each day. Most of them are children and there are about 25,000 victims of hunger world-wide. The children mostly are from the less developed countries. They are so skinny that you can even see their bones. They get their food from leftover food. I hope people around the world will realise these hungry people's needs and will not waste their food.

I wish I can help them by donating some of my food.

What I did in Week 4 weekends of the June holidays

On this last Sunday of my June holidays, I managed to wake up early to go to the stadium for my run. It was much earlier and the Japanese children were not there yet. I had a good run and I completed the 4 rounds in just 13 minutes. Just as I was about to leave, the children started coming in.

On Sunday night, I went to bed early to be able to wake up on time the next morning so as not be late for school. I can't wait to go back to school to play with my friends.

What I did in Week 4 of the June holidays

In this last week of the June holidays, I completed all my school homework. I also continued to attend the chinese oral class, which is a 2 hours session and had a 10 min break in between. I also did some revision of my work when I was at home. Since school will re-open soon, I packed my bag to get ready to go back to school.

What I did in Week 3 weekends of the June holidays

On Sunday, I went to the stadium to train myself by running 4 rounds of the stadium. At first I thought there would be not many people there, but when I reached there, there were many Japanese children around. They were attending football classes there. And I was annoyed as they kept kicking the balls onto the running track. I was so badly distracted by them that I took 16 minutes to complete the 4 rounds.

Next time when I go there, I must reach there earlier before the children come in.

What I did in Week 3 of the June holidays

I attended a chinese oral class for Week 3 and Week 4 in the afternoon. On Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, I also attended a swimming camp to take my Gold, Silver and Bronze award for my swimming. It was awesome there. In the morning, we had our training and then proceed with lunch. In the afternoon, we took our tests. The best thing of the whole camp was on the last day, we had a buffet dinner. They also served us ice-creams and I ate 3 cups !! At the end of the 3 days, I was totally burnt out and very tanned. But I was very happy that I passed all the 3 tests and got my Gold, Silver and Bronze award certificates.

What I did in Week 2 weekends of the June holidays

On Sat of Week 2, I attended my tennis lesson as usual. But this time it was tougher because the coach wanted us to run 50 rounds around the court as warm up. Then we have to hit 100 balls each, then we proceed to rally with each other. Overall it was ok but I was very very tired after the lesson and fell asleep on my way home.

The rest of the weekends were spent as usual going for tuition classes.

What I did in Week 2 of the June Holidays

On Week 2, I didn't do much. I completed some of my school homework and my aunt brought me out for lunch. She also brought me to watch the show "Monster vs Alien". Overall, the show is not too bad but I still preferred "Night In the Museum" because it is more real-life and is funnier.

What I did in Week 1 week ends during the June Holidays

On the weekends of week 1, I continued with my tennis lesson in the morning, and then went home for shower and out for lunch. After lunch, I went to a book shop and bought some story books and 2 comics. After that, I went for my tuitions.

After tuitions, my parents brought me out for dinner. I also watched the movie "Night In the Museum 2". It was an interesting show and I enjoyed it very much.

What I did in Week 1 of the June holidays

I attended the Primary Maths Olympaid Programme at NUS from Monday to Friday 9am to 12noon (3 hours). What they taught us were :
a) Number Theory
b) Number Pattern
c) Arithmetic Progression
d) Geometry
e) Count by listing

Everyday we had to assemble in class by 9am and the lecturers will start the lesson at 9am sharp. Also we had different lecturers every day. All the lecturers looked smart.

We also had a 15 mins break after 1 hour 30 mins lesson. I met some of my classmates there. During the break, I would usually go down to the canteen to buy some french fries to eat.

At 12pm, my grandmother will come to pick me up at NUS and we went out for lunch.

It was fun learning the new stuff at NUS.
